I am always proud to share with people the incredible depth of linguistic diversity that exists in Liverpool. Amazingly, there are languages that are no longer spoken in their place of origin that thrive in Liverpool. An essential ingredient to this phenomenon is the vital role that our community language schools play. One of these is the Green Valley Languages and Arts School that this year celebrates 30 years of providing an education in Hindi language and dance at Green Valley Public School every Sunday. It has taught Hindi from kindergarten to year 12, as well as Bharatnatyam, the harmonium and the tabla. The school has been the bedrock of continuing cultural education in Liverpool. The ongoing success of the Green Valley Languages and Arts School was only made possible by the hard work of staff and the parents' committee. I congratulate Aakash Prasad, Vandana Gupta, Abhishek Mishra and Uma Prasad for their ongoing dedication to maintaining the Hindi language and cultural identity in Liverpool. I look forward to seeing the school continue to thrive for the years to come.
